I have been unable to find any disconnected wiring under the dash that would connect to the steering column-mounted NS switch (which is missing). What I have for a wiring diagram is shy the color callout. Anyone out there have any suggestions? My truck is a 76 F-150 Ranger Supercab with a 3 Spd A/T, no cruise. Thanks!
Stuart, It's hard to say what has been removed in 25 years by a po but your truck should have a molded harness clip that plugs into the steering column about 8" off the floor on the top side. I don't run a NS switch on either of my trucks but I know that it will crank anywhere the selector is so it isn't a problem.

I know this may read stupid and useless....but I know on '79's with a C4 the neutral safety switch is mounted on the transmission, the disconnect is along the firewall a little toward the passenger side from center. Anyone here know when / if Ford switched AT neutral safeties from the column to the tranny?
I have a '73 with the column mounted switch. The plug that it connects to is the same as the flat four-wire plug used for trailer brakes. Two wires are for the neutral safety switch, and the other two are for the reverse lights.
