awesome man!! sucks that you took the time to make the 1st set of brackets and didnt end up using them... but keep them incase you want to go bigger, so you can run 4" lift springs, and the drop brackets. What kindof welder you got?
Ya the shackle angle isn't going to work perfectly, but I'm gonna leave it for now. I got my front d-shaft put in now, and am going to make a new post of some 4x4 action, first time ever with this truck!
Those hangers only took about an hour to make so I don't feel too bad about them. But they are sticking around just in case!
I wanted to get rid of the drop hangers cuz I didn't think they looked appropriate on my truck. Ivan an Pro pull off the drop hangers well, but they are also running 44" tires so they aren't near as noticable as with 36" tires. I also didn't like the way the front was riding, so I thought I'd give the Pro Comp springs a try, and so far they are gettin an excellent vote from me.

Forgot to address your welder question. I have 2 welders, a Lincoln Mig 220v, and a Lincoln Arc 220. Used the Arc welder on this project, as I can burn in welds better with it.
I got mine from National Tire an Wheel springs alone were 300, I was out of their "shipping zone" so for over sized and out of zone shipping it came to right at $340.
