I have a 1990 Ford F-250 with a 5.8. I know that I'm getting power to the injectors, the nodes told me that. I want to get the injectors open and try to clean them out. What voltage do I need to get them open. Any suggestions on how to do that? Any and all help is appreciated.
I don't see why they aren't, unless there is a resistor in the computer. They are fed 12V, but now that you say that, I'm curious if there is something in there...

The injectors are always pulsed from the PCM, they never have a constant 12V across them.
I know they are pulsed, but they are supplied with 12V from the wiring harness. I don't see why 12V would hurt to open them momentarily. I agree that they shouldn't be held open for a long time.

Yes, one side of the injector coil is at 12V, but the PCM creates the GND connection for a very short time (negative pulse). As you know, the current through an inductor increases with time, and the peak current (DC) is determined by the coil series resistance.
