It is a heck of a lot of fun for car/truck nuts. There are even some aftermarket venders there. You can find anything from complete vehicles, projects, to parts. Swede might even find a deal on some 2.9 headers. There are always some bargains, and for those that haven't been to one before, most of the folks selling deal in cash. Only a few of the commercial venders are willing to take plastic or checks. So bring the green stuff. (I guess it isn't all green anymore). I usually make a quick overview of the stuff that is there, and then go back and look more closely. If you find something you want though you might be wise to buy it right away because it'll probably be gone if you wait and it was a screamin deal. I also enjoy haggling on the price of stuff. Some folks deal and others won't.
IIRC, last year we went on saturday, and I would like to go again this year. I would like to suggest meeting at Spangles that morning since it seemed to work so well before. If there is anyone that can't make it in the morning, you can pm me and I will give you my cell phone number so you can call and find out where everyone is at when you arrive. What does everybody think about 6:30 for a meeting time on saturday morning?
Jan 21-22 is the annual racers auction and trade show at the coliseum. Mostly dirt track stuff but there are some street/strip type things that go through the auction too. I think its $10 to get in on saturday and free on sunday, definitely worth checking out.
Last year I got a good deal on a Billet Battery holder for my Optima and some nifty 5.4L High Performance Badges which I placed on my aftermarket hood. I can still remember the smell of them cinnamon roasted nuts.
havent forgotten, just too damn busy. Getting another Eagle built for '06 season has been taking up alot of time................you know how that goes!
