Looks like they stuck the front end of the Honda Ridgeline onto that "thang".
I seriously looked at the 2002 Chev truck (when new). Too much money for what they were offering. The salesman told me that IF I wanted a truck (Chev) that RIGHT THEN was the time to buy. Was he ever right!?!?!? The newer Chevs are sooooooooooooooooooooooo U G L Y, it is crazy.
Is it just me? What happened to STYLING? (I'll be equal opportunity here. . . . even the last generation Ford trucks looked a LOT better than what's out here, now.)
Sorry. I just don't like 'change'. (I still like the '56 & '57 F-100!)
No diesel, only the 5.3L, 160 amp alt., no standard transmission, no 2 speed transfer case, 20" rims, and lots of radio options. Wonder what the target market will be?
The 32% of the full-size SUV market GM doesn't already sell to. GM's market share went from 53 to 68% with that 2000 bodystyle. Say what you want, they called that market dead to rights. The new products pretty strong- Escalade's pumping something like 420HP, the Tahoe has DOD for the best-in-class gas mileage. Rear Cameras, Satellite Nav and Radio, power boards, yada yada. All the tricks and whistles this affluent soccer mom market wants- let's not forget who the real buyer is here.
Edit: The Chevy guy's only gripe is that it looks too much like an Expedition.

Me. I have never understood why comfort and a tough truck can't go hand in hand. Give me a F350 DRW 4X4 with every creature comfort possible and I will be one happy camper.
P.S. I think there are ugly too, the Yukon that is.
