I have a bit of a problem, well see the thing is, is that i have a 1996 F-250. I have been shopping around looking soo hard and not getting anywhere. Is 6 inches the biggest lift i can put on my truck?? I want to go bigger definately. But 6" lift is all i could find. Can anyone help me out..
If you want a "bolt on" kit 6" will be about it. As Sprocket said if you can build it you can do whatever you want. If you can't build it but want more than 6" do a search for "Atlas Springs" or "National Spring". They make custom springs that you'll see on a lot of the huge show trucks (and charge accordingly). They typically don't ride too great because the leaf packs are stiff but they will get you the lift you want. What you need to keep in mind though is all the other stuff you need to make it work. There are a lot of little details like drivelines, pinion angle, brake lines, e-brake cable, shock mounts, shocks, etc. Bigger tires also typically will require regearing of the axles.
Also, if I remember correctly, the 96 F250's used the twin traction beam front axle still instead of a solid front axle. With the TTB front end you will need drop brackets built. It can be very hard to align a TTB truck even with a 6" kit, not to mention 8", 10" 12" or whatever you plan on. Plus the fact that the front axle you have is fairly weak and will not survive too well with a large tire, which is why many people looking for a big lift opt to swap a Dana 60 solid axle up front.
