Group Tech Article Ready for Viewing

The group FAQ Tech Article is now up and ready for group viewing and feedback. You can find it at

http://www.clubfte.com/users/earl/FT..._FAQ__Home.htm

Please take some time to read it through before we submit it to the FTE powers to become an official Tech Article. Remember, the whole group's name will be on it so it's worth your while to put in your 2 cents worth.

BTW, there are some question marks that appear throughout the text. These are due to mistranslation of characters by the web page software. Please ignore these glitches as they will be fixed in the final version.

Looking good. I want to spend as much time as I can in the next few days reading it all.

I am serioulsy considering a slightly different way to go though. This guy did a ranger side mount fuel tank and a t-bird column in his 54. The tilt column has working delay wipers, cruise control, headlight and ignition switch. See pics on page two.

http://www.winfordr.com/54f100.htm

I like the tank on the side so the spare could go under the back. Just another option. I know...not part of the tech, since he is not a member here (that I know of).

on ur FAQ page U repeated the "Q. What year of Toyota 4x4 steering box is adaptable to the 1948-1960 F1/F-100?
" .. U may want to edit it a little bit..

But other wise it lookin real good..

Mahvalous, Simply Mahvalous.

You might want to mention that eithr the Toyota Manual or Power Steering boxes can be swaped in.

PS: Ferggy, Now I understand why the Comedy Club keeps returning your tapes.

Where's Michael Buffer when you need him?

Earl, nice link to Earl's World and the FAQ Tech articles.

Brian_B, nice pics of your '54.

Maybe I'll get some motivation to start working on my '55 F100.

Bobby,

Thanks, but we really are looking for critique.

Also if anyone has any more useful FAQs that can be said in a maximum of 3 sentences for the first portion of the article, that would be great. i.e. like camber, castor, etc. Think of them as the things most of us won't admit we don't know but want to if we weren't afraid to ask....

To the 57-60 crowd - I really did try to cover you better, but either the info wasn't there or the detail wasn't... (Since I'm trying to put a 57 dash in my 54 that sorta makes me one of you, so you can trust me on that)

Can you add a Link to John Niolon's web site in the Steering Column FAQ?

Good resource. Sure helps us newbs who are slowly filtering through thousands of posts!

Compared to my '55, you still have a nice truck.
