Wheel Spacers?

Anyone have an opinion on wheel spacers? I am considering using them to bolt on the 15" Jeep Cherokee wheels I have. They fit great on the back but the offset is no good for the front. The tires rub on the upper suspension parts.

It has been suggested that I use spacers to bring the wheels out between 1/2 an inch and an inch.

Any thoughts?

I would not use them, from what I have seen (bolt on kind) is that they are made of weak metal and I would hate to have those wheels come off at 65+ mph.

The other option is using washer spacers, but you would need to put on bigger lugs, and you still run the chance of the lugs sheering.

Your best bet would be to get different size tires.

Wheel spacers, no good. Changes bearing loadings and steering geometry.
