Anyone familiar with throtle body efi fuel line routing? One is pressure the other is return .Here is the dumb part pulled donor motor cant remember what side goes to witch .89 merc grand marque .One line is straight (passenger side) other comes out at an angle(driver side)Both mount to the center of thottle body.
The one with the schrader valve is the supply line. I believe it's the same line that feeds into the fuel pressure regulator. If you get them crossed up, it won't run. Believe me, I speak from experience. - Brad
Way Off topic: An 89 had throttle body? I thought they dropped those in 85 or so.
Yes most cars (except diesels) have throttle bodys they just control the air coming in. You are thinking of throttle body injection where they put fuel injectors in a carburetor like thing in the place of a carb. TBI is one of the first fuel injection systems widely used most cars now use multiport (injectors ontop of each intake runner) sequential (injector squirts at the right time for each cyl) like the 5.0

I guess I misunderstood what he was asking because of the wording. Apparently everyone else got it.
In the above quote he said throttle body efi fuel line routing. The modern throttle bodies do not have fuel lines just the TPS. The intakes are dry (just air flow). Thats why I asked. The modern ones the lines go to the FPR/rails not the throttle body.
my 5.0 efi from an 88 crown vic has one noticably larger line compared to the other, our 91 crown vic is the same way, except that one has shiny lines , and mine doesnt..... (i.e-one is 5/16, other is 3/8...im not sure if those are the sizes, however)
