Those are good files... i needed something to compare to since my F250 is my
first diesel. Is the cackle the lower pitched nocking sound?....is nock and cackle the same?

Yes, it's the one injection event that they are playing that sounds twice as loud as the other 7.
mine sounds like the nocackle.wav outside the vehicle but inside i can hear a cackle, i thought it was an injector. now im lost and have no clue what it is. its like a piston knock but cant hear it when outside the vehicle

That's it. Mine was doing it until I did the air bleed. Now it never does it.

Amazing, the "no cackle" file sounds smooth. Mine is random, sometimes its there, sometimes no. Kwik, so the quick-connect mod and tank mod weren't enough to get rid of it?

Looking back, it still did it at random occations even after I did all the work. But it's been a very gradual tapering off over the last few months.
I also ran a 55 gallon barrel of Bio-diesel through the system last fillup, that may be a contributor.
I can still hear it for the first minute of operation in the morning. After that, nothing.
I think I'll do the quick-connect mod first and see how it goes. The "air bleed off" mod seems a little over my head. And the fuel regulator system prices on the internet are a bit too pricey for me.
The fix for it is to install a LL injector in #8 cylinder. LL stands for long lead, it causes a change in the timing characteristics for that cylinder only. #8 cylinder is the only cylinder that would have this injector installed in it.

I disagree. I know that's Ford's official stance, but I just don't like the thought of engineering in an unbalanced fuel delivery to try and offset a poor design.
International never has trouble with thier T444E's, and they also saw fit to install an accumulator on the back of the left head.
I wonder why?
