Engine Change
Also what about a 351 will all of my parts from the 302 fit on a 351? Injecters? Intake? Heads? Manifolds?
Thanks
Brett
As far as I know, none of the parts will bolt up. They are two motors from a different family of engines. Well, injectors might. Not sure on those. But the hard parts are all different.
Try http://www.landlproducts.com/ and see if that gives you an idea.
It's a totally different setup between 460 and 302 - you'll need a lot of new/different stuff. Might want to look into a 351 or 351 stroker if you're looking for big power. Or, you can certainly go with a 460 - but it won't be as easy/cheap.

The 351, 302, and 300 I6 all have the same bell housing pattern, but the 460 has a wider pattern.
If you go from 302-460 then you are going to need mounts and all the other stuff already mentiond, but you may need a brain box, and wiring to go along with it. I am not sure but I think those two engines use a different high pressure fuel pump also.
Is the truck in question a 5spd or an automatic.
I am not sure about the autos, but the bellhousing on the 5spd is part of the casing, so you will have to go with a new tranny, and the only manual tranny option for the 460 is the ZF (depending on the year).
If you are looking for a challenge I say go for it, but if you just want a bigger engine with more power I suggest you go with the 351.
Intake and exhaust is a no because the 351 is wider.
Heads are a yes, they're interchangeable.
If you're going to use a stock or relatively stock 351, you'd need it's speed denity computer - or you can switch to MAF instead (better).
Motor mounts are the same so you're all set there (you'll want to replace them while they're out).
Accessories swap over with a larger belt.
Some minor adjustments in vacuum lines and such are needed, easy enough. You'll need the thermactor tube that bolts to the back of the heads as the 351's is wider...
Think that is about it...
