rear end ratio

I have a 1984 f150 2x4 w/300 l6 with a c6 tranni and a completely stock drivetrain.

Does anyone know what the stock rear end ratio is??

could be 2.75-4.10's. the door plate will have a axle code. that is what we need to tell for sure

Or look for a small stamped steel tag on one of the studs that holds the pumpkin in the housing (or the cover on the back if it's not a 9"). The ratio will be stamped in one of the corners of the tag. Mine is a 3.08, so it is stamped 3 08. If it was a factory limited slip is would be 3L08.
