drop, drop, drop it to the ground

hey everybody, i got a 2wd 79 PU and was just wondering if their is anyway to drop the suspension a few inches. I don't want it to the ground, but i want to give it a little drop if possible.

If your broke, heat the springs with a torch. I know guys, that was wrong in so many ways. But it works. To do it the right way, you might give FABTECH a call.

Or get rid of the truck and go get yourself a car. Is'nt that what you want , anyway?

I'm in the process of dropping mine 3"/4" with A.I.M. "I" beams and shackles. It was raised to get stiffened up for a camper I don't use any more and is way to high and stiff. I'm going to toss the extra leaf in the rear and keep the upgraded coils in the front. I'll post in a couple of weeks how it goes. I'm not going for the "Chetty" flat rock in the road look.

Hey Memphisto, that little red button don't do nothin!

Buy any of the custom truck mags such as Truckin',Custom Classic Trucks,Steet Trucks,so on.They'll have plenty of ads for parts to drop your truck.Just be prepared, dropping your truck the right way isn't cheap and you get what you paid for.One of the best companies I've heard about from friends is Chisolm's Suspension.Good Luck

Couldn't find Chisholm's site but if you put chisholm suspension in the yahoo search it'll bring up a bunch of sites that offer the products.zmotive.com,djmsuspension.com and several others offer allot of products for lowering a Ford right.Only my 2 cents worth but here goes anyway.I love lowered Fords and plan on doing my '78 in the near future.I've had allot of buddies who have done this ranging from dirt cheap on up to around $500 for parts. No doubt about, the guys who cut corners paid dearly for ir later with wasted tires and ruined front ends. When it's done with the right parts,a good ride, better handling, the right front end alignment and the look will all be there.Good luck guys
