on my 1979 F150. I have checked all the fuses, all are good. I have taken out both headlights and cleaned the corrosion off the plug-ins. Still my damn lights blink off and on. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
The headlight switch has an integral circuit breaker I believe it sounds like you have a short and its tripping the breaker then when the breaker resets and realizes the short is still there it trips again, look for a short somewhere
Hi, A bad dimmer (high beam) switch can also make your lights blink on and off. Mine went bad and did the same thing. It's kind of embarrasing when people think you are doing it intentionally, and they pull over for you to pass them.

Yakima, you might also check the voltage regulator. I had one that was bad, and sending too much voltage to the system (headlights included) It would cause the switch to overheat and the lights would flicker. Eventually cost me a battery, voltage regulator, and a couple of headlights. Just my experience.

Hadn't had time today to take off switch, but I just drove the truck a few miles without lights flickering. It's only doing it when something gets hot. Plan on taking off the headlight switch tomorrow to see if anything's corroded or not. The dimmer switch was replaced last month.
