2005 PSD CC LB lariet, yesterday the radio made a loud pop, it went off FM onto Am the clock was off but I put the channel back on, reset the clock and everything works fine. I can find any other problems, then today I noticed on the drivers side battery postive post the plastic cover has a hole burned through it. I start the truck and there is a little bolt off the main battery post that has a red battery cable heading off under neath the motor that gets too hot to touch. There is a red battery cable that also attaches to the main post. The rest of the terminal is cool to the touch. Any one else hear of this? Wierd!

You must be shorting out your positive lead somehow, being a 2005 I would take it to the dealer and get it checked. With all the eletronic computer controls you may have messed up more that you radio and clock presets. Good Luck.
Guy's it sounds like he has a direct short on that big wire. Esp if he lost his radio like he said. Has nothing to do with connections plus both batteries are tied in parallel.
The terminals are all tight, the radio came right back on. I think everything else is alright but there is some thing definatly not right for that to get so hot it melts the plastic cover over the terminal. Im definatly calling the dealer today! It must be a short somewhere. Thanks guys!
