I can understand why you don't like the site www.pickuptruck.com, but it isn't a Gm site, it is a Pickuptruck site. I.e. the name.

Ole Blue, and I are both moderators of truck sections there, just as here, if you notice, I am the moderator for the Ford trucks forum, and he is the moderator of the Vintage forum.

about pickuptruck.com:
there is very little technical information there on pickuptruck.com.
i get tired of reading the same old, "why should i buy a...",
"my truck is better than your truck"..., "my truck can outrun your truck" which is fine if that is what you want to read, but i don't... so, i won't be going back to the pickuptruck.com site.
if there are not enough ford people on pickuptruck.com, i am sure they have already discovered what i did. FTE is a better quality forum, a real gem.

the people registered here have been very helpful to me, more than anyone could ask for... and i really appreciate it. if i can help someone else here, you can bet i sure will.

i am registered at pickuptruck.com, might be as spectre3,
if it is not the same as here. password there is EWQbpw, that i do know is correct.

you may delete my registry there if you wish.

i have looked and looked for a long time for a good techical site. i have found one in FTE.

in time, i hope i will learn a lot.

Lee, I hope that you find all that you need here and enjoy yourself. Don't worry to much about Jason and Evan, they are kept on pretty short leashes. Just don't throw any rocks, because they have been known to break loose. ;-)

I go to PUTC for fun.True! Spectre is right mostly it is a joke most of the time over there but also i gotta have a place to defend Fords when the "sutpid is as stupid does" chevy guys start knockin them for no reason,soon that site might just be a chevy board but i try to recriute Ford guys and keep them there.

I didn't say FTE was no fun,i said there was no humor.If you really want humor you go to a active "all brand" board and just see the ***** cut loose!Its a joke most of the time but still can be fun.If i didn't have this site i would be missing the best truck site on the web.The other site is for fun only.

PUTC is not a bad site, I just had to throw in a humorous jibe. Levine has set up a nice site, but it is very general and I guess it would be pretty difficult to put lots of technical content on PUTC because its so broad in its coverage.

Heck, I was concerned in the beginning with expanding FTE's coverage. We used to have only one mailing list and most of the site coverage was 1979 and older trucks. As time has gone by, the site was expanded when the user base grew enough. I'm hoping we can knock out many enhancements, including additional content, in the next month. The server upgrade is part of that plan.

Being this board was down last night, I went and took a look at the board on pickuptruck.com. I was not impressed at all. Having those che^y guys on my case all the time would drive me nuts. After becoming an active member on this site about two months ago, there has only been two days I haven't checked the boards. It just becomes part of my routine.

P is right.PUTC definetly has a different flavor over there.
In truth,they would eat most of you alive!!
P will tell ya.So i am a rarity and still(somehow)holden on!

It is dog eat dog over there.
A guy who is just into old Fords would not find anything to keep them there,exept oleblue and Pastmaster.
