In my 56, I run a posi 9-inch, monoleaf springs and Lakeland Traction bars that I got from Summit Racing. They were pretty cheap (about $60?) - p/n LAK-20470. Work real well.
Are the rear springs the same as the front springs? (Like the springs attached to the stock front axle sitting on the side of my house, taking up valuable space. wink-wink...nudge-nudge.)
Randy, is your axle on top or below the leaf? I couldn't tell from any pics in your gallery.
cigar, I don't think the springs would work for the rear. My front passenger side sags that I'm sure that they could help. I would be gald to take it off your hands though.
Fly48, I'm not really sure if I want to get rid of them, I have some MII parts and haven't decided if I am going to put MII in my truck or not. They are brand new (Only opened the box to see what they look like). They are the chrome adjustable coil overs from Carrera.
Randy, would you mind taking a few pics of yout traction bars installed on your truck? Thanks.
Thanks for the pic Randy (The link didn't work but I found it your gallery). I have thought about mounting some that way but I wasn't sure how well it work. So they work pretty good? Thanks again.
Yes, they work great. My mono rear springs hopped like crazy. The traction bars stopped all that and did not change the spring action.
Just got my new Summit catalog. Look at page 200. The Lakeland traction bars are now $42.88/pr (chrome - p/n LAK-20470) or $39.98/pr (yellow - p/n LAK-20475). Summit offers an exact knock-off of the yellow Lakeland bars for $32.95 (p/n SUM-770501).
Fly48, if I decide to, I will let you know. I looked them up on the computer and they retail for about $350.
Thanks Randy, that's what I wanted to hear. I used to have crazy wheel hop where it rattled my teeth and brain and it looked like the front end was going to bounce off (Fixed most of it with camber shims). I keep the Summit and Jegs next to my bed, so they will be an easy find. I'm looking at some on E-bay (Hopefully I can get them for about half the price of new) because the less amount of money I spend the better. Thanks again.

I see that I'm not the only tightwad around here!!!
I'd be more free with the money if the checkbook wasn't made of rubber...LOL
I used rear springs from 90 Nissan; which are almost identical to mounts for stock in my 50 F1; I think I have pictures in my gallery. Cost was $90; I modified my hangers and brackets, axle is top of springs.
