Hi! I was wondering if anybody had any 4-speed tranny recommendations. I am planning on hooking it up to a 351W. I know it might depend on the year of the engine. I plan on using the original drive shaft if it will bolt up properly. Thanks

Besides 4 forward gears, what are you looking for? Overdrive, granny 1st, close ratio, strength, quick shifting? There are a variety of trannys that bolt up to the small-block. Some work better for an intended purpose than others.

Is your truck 2wd or 4wd? What year truck? Heavy duty or light duty? The NP435 or T18/19 are two abundant 4-spd trannies in ford trucks (although they have granny gears). I'd have to check my shop manuals for any other trannies. I hope this helps.
