Split Second Hesitation at Steady Speed

I have a 2002 f250 7.3L with around 95,000 miles. I have been experiencing problems at random times with hestitation/missing. Going down the highway the vehicle will miss/hesitate for a split second and then continue normally (almost as if I took my foot off the accelerator extremely fast and then continued on. It's like a jerk of decceleration.) I have also experienced the vehicle dying on me when comming to a stop or slow turn (parking). These happen about once a day or every other day and not both at the same time. I have changed the fuel filter and batteries. No trouble code pulls up on the scanner. I can only figure that I may have a bad injector or computer module somewhere.

Does anybody have an idea of what the problem might be? Please let me know if you have experienced these problems.

Classic CPS symptoms. Cam Position Sensor. EXTREMELY common for this engine.

Do a search for CPS.

Buy yours from your International dealer, NOT Ford! Consider getting a blue one for a DT466 instead of the T444e.

i also agree with the CPS, especially a "blue" one. just go to the IH dealer, ask for a DT466 Camshaft Position Sensor, it fits right on the engine.
