Serious problem

I decided to follow 97's advice and pull the sender. I discovered that the threads are boogered up and the sender was epoxied into place. It aint hurting me too bad right now since the truck won't start but I'm going to have to do something about that before I'm driving it again. The reservoir appeared to be full and I have a 50% reading on oil pressure when I'm cranking so I don't think the oil is my problem. I think it's fuel delivery. When you say the fuel pressure should be 30-40 when cranking, exactly where should I hook up to get the best reading? Should it be at the schrader valve or on the out line going down off the end of the pressure regulator into that little piece of rubber hose?
