I have a 78 F150 4x4 Stepside. I'm redoing a lot of things on it, but one of those is to put in a new seat. I'd like to have bucket seats, but I don't want to loose the functionality of the Bench seat. I used to have a 98 Ram that had a fold down armrest/compartment.
Does anyone have any recomendations for seats that will transfer into my truck without much fuss? And that have some sort of fold down arm rest or something like that?
I got a seat from a '96 Ford, I was told it was from '96, and it went in the same four holes as the original. It even had a pint size armrest and some sort of air pillows for lower back support.
Chad,
Here's the skinny. Mercury Grand Marquis seats! Luxurious, Power, bucket/bench combo with center armrest. I've seen the conversion and they fit in a 68, I think, it wasn't a 73-79. They should bolt in with just the normal difficulty. Has anyone else seen this?
Good Luck, Have Fun,
