2003 lug pattern to 5on5 1/2

I would like to put a set of tires and wheels from a 2003 Ford F150 with the (i guess) metric pattern on my 1975 International 100 series with the 5 on 5 1/2 lug pattrern. it isnt off that far but just drilling them out doesnt sound too safe giving the old acorn lug nuts to whatever they used on the aluminum wheels. Do not really want to get adapters because these might make the fit a little too tight. Any suggestions appreciated. oh the wheels are the Stock chrome looking aluminum 17s, they were on my daughters truck with brand new tires when they replaced the wheels to 20s, I think the 17s would look good on my old binder.
Thanks Mark

Not only is the pattern different, it uses a different type of lug. The Ford wheels are designed to be centered on the hub, and the lugs just hold it tight. They use a flat seat type nut for that. The old binders use a cone-seat lug that centers the wheel, and the hub is just sticking through the middle. Not really designed to work together. You might be better off selling the stock rims, and getting a similar style of aftermarket wheel for the binder.

yea I was afraid of that, I dislike not being able to use something I already have, on the rears I could probably get a ring of sorts and tack it on the drum then just use the 03 type lug-nuts after they are enlarged slightly, the fronts I would have to look at again, but then again would that be safe.
Thanks Mark
