Chevytalk.com lots off good technical discussion there. That site you should get any answer to any question you have. There are several GM techs on line. Try that one an you should be happy.

I have the same problem. I've got 67 and 68 F-100s but my son has an 87 Suburban. I ran into an unusual problem with it a couple of weeks ago and started searching for Chevy sites. Here's a pretty good one:
