I was given a complete nintendo 64 controllers,cables,everything free of charge. my question is,what are some good games for this system? I have not played nintento since the 1st one came out however many moons ago that was ,so I am quite a bit out of the loop. I am looking for games for the kids as well as for me. nothing violent for the kids. I like racing,shooting,sports games but all suggestions welcome. I don't want to buy games,play them for 5 minutes and figure out they weren't worth my money. thanks for the suggestions!!....Ben

golden eye is the best game for the 64, play that game for hours on end and the multiplayer part is awesome. can be good for kids to if you switch it to paintball mode

 

Thats a fun console you got there. Must haves are Goldeneye defenitly,perfect dark is another,super mario 64 is a blast as well. Have fun with it!

 

I have a Nintendo 64 some where around here. The games that were the best for that system are Golden Eye, Mario Party, Mario Kart, Zelda, and Mario 64. Golden eye, Mario Kart, and Mario Party are really fun multiplayer games

 

Goldeneye Goldeneye Goldeneye. I have Top Gear Rally 1 & 2, #2 is definitely the best one. San Francisco Rush and Rush 2 are great, great games too.

Conkers Bad Fur Day, NOT for kids! I played this when I was 20, Oh My God, it was the first video game I ever played that has swearing and adult inuendo - it is nothing like these gangster games the kids like, its more of a cartoon that you play. You play as a squirrel trying to save his girlfriend, you meet death, you meet a funny scarecrow, you fight a gargoyle, you get to drink, you fight giant honeybees, you have to catch mouse, you fight a crazed haybale that turns into....well I wont ruin it for you, and thats just the first half hour or so! You have to find this game and play it!(and find the book for it too if possible-8x11" half inch thick-but thick pages) It seems tame to me now after playing all these other gangster-type games, but tame or not it is still my favourite for that system. And I second getting Mario-Kart, 200 rounds in a row against my buddy me winning 75 means that game has something going for it!

Conker has some cool cheatcodes for it too!
Tails are 1 extra life,
I think its after meeting with death, when you enter onto a path with a tail hanging off a hook on pole/post, just grab the tail and leave the area the same way you came in, you come back in and the tail is there again, do that for as many extra lives as you want.

Conkers Bad Fur Day was re-released on X-Box last year, they put the original on it and a second NEW Conker game on as well, BUT they changed the begining of the original a little bit. (The cheatcodes for original don't work on the X-Box version though)

Zelda. I do believe there is two zelda games for the 64, and they both kick ***! Mario kart is pretty fun too!

 

I agree, that was one of the best games I played on that system.
