Changing from 16" to 17" wheels
I have a 99 f150 4x4 4.6 5sp and I currently have 255/70r16 tires and a friend of mine has a factory set of 17's off his expedition with 265/70r17 tires on them. The tires are like new and he will sell me the whole set for $100. my question is will I be able to tell a noticeable power difference with the taller tires? I currently have 3.55 gears in miy truck. It's a great price and I am in need of a new set of tires. I am concerned though because I did notice a power difference when I went from the factory 235/70r16's to the current 255's. Anyone running the 17's with the 4.6 5sp?

I had a noticeable power drop when going from LT235/75R15 to LT245/75R16. (29" -> 31") I will regear when the weather gets suitable for greasemonkeying.
