Autolocking taillgate?????

Thanks to Gashog. He pointed me to a lock actuator and bracket. I cancelled the Pop & Lock for now. I really want something that will lock the tailgate without blocking the handle. I'm going to try and make this work - the price on it was definately right ($6 shipped). I know that if they want the tailgate their going to take it. but, maybe if they give it a try and it's locked they will move on.

I installed a power lock on my 05 F350 and it was a piece of cake. It wires into your stock power door lock circuit, so the toughest part is running wires to tap into the factory harness. But the wires are easy to find, so it's still a simple DIY project. The system I bought from Summit Racing uses an actuator and an arm that flips the locking mechanism open and closed on the stock handle (assuming you already have a locking factory handle). I have an alarm system with keyless entry, so the tailgate now locks and unlocks with the doors. I can still independently, manually lock and unlock the tailgate too. It should be a factory option IMO.
