Rough engagement with C4
Also, does anyone have experience with putting a slightly high stall converter with this conbination. The engine is stock but I was planning on putting a 4 barrel, dual exhaust, and cam in. I would seem to me that a slightly high stall speed would make the truck a little easier to live with in stop and go traffic.

So how does your combination work...lots of power? Does the Edelbrok cam/carb/intake work well together? What would you change if you were to do it over? Are you running the stock converter?

This maybe your rear end thats clunking. Reference the "clunk" string.
A stall converter will make huge gains for the little small block that could. Stall should be 2000 RPM or more. A big stall won't work without the HP.
Go to a single plane four barrel intake with a large 750 holley. Add headers with 2- 1/2" collectors plus 2-1/4 duals back. Get a 290 degree duration cam with about a .456 lift (cam dynamics) and you'll have a very streetable performer.
Get a credit card, you'll need it for gas.
