Difficult to down shift when engine braking
I have a 1984 FORD F250 with 4 wheel drive.The motor is a 351 Windsor V-8, I have one of the 2 transmissions (both manual 4 speed) its either a Warner T-18-4 or a Warner T-19-4. When I am driving in 3rd gear and try to downshift to second gear it doesnt go right into gear you have to really pull it to get it into 2nd gear or slow down to 15mph to get it in smoothly. I dont have this problem in any other gears just 3rd to second when moving. The trans fluid has been just changed. Any ideas appreciated!!!
