Leaf Spring Question
I have a 71 ford f100 2wd. i lowered the front with i beams and went to lower the rear with shackles but i have a flex-o-matic rearend. The shackles i bought will not work on the leafspring set up i have. my question is will 73-79 f100 2wd leaf springs work on my 71 f100. i wanted to know cause my buddy has a set of those leafs and i wanted to know if they would work. thanks for the help. - Superman71

this is a question for you. what kind of beams did you use, and how much of a drop did it get out of them? did your wheels camber in real bad? i am going to bag my 68 f-100 ranger longbed.....the rear is an easy 4 link set up with a frame rail notch. the front may need to be a nova front clip z'ed.....so i was just wondering about your front end set up.

i got my ibeams from aim industries. you have to buy tierod relocators with them. it dropped my truck about 3 1/2 inches with my old coils. but i bought new coils so it just dropped it about 3 inches. my wheels didnt camber at all it was perfect. it wasnt cheap but it was worth it. thats the only way that i could lower it so it had to be done. lol
