speedometer rpm

can anyone tell me the rpm of the ford speedos at 60mph so i can find the right drive and driven gears

I think most speedos for a long time have been 1000 cable rpm at 60 mph. (1000 revs/mile). Check out www.speedometershop.com for info on how to perform a "ratio test" to select the right adapter.

With a 4-speed, on a 400M and on a 360, the RPM's were about 2150-2300 at 55 MPH
