Hi, I have a 2002 F250 7.3L with 65,000 mile that keeps stalling. I will be driving and the motor just dies. This truck has been maintained perfectly. I put the first two cam positioning sensors in myself and the 3rd one I had the dealer put in and it still stalls. I was told it my be the ECM. The dealer of coarse wants 2-3 hours to diagnosis it and cannot tell me if they can get any assistance from Ford.
This Truck has not been a good truck. I have had problem after problem.
I pull a 11,000 LB Toyhauler up and down the Grapevine and do not want to take the chance of this pile stalling while my wife and 2 kids are in the truck.
I would appreciate it if anyone has a any clues.
The 7.3 has a 100,000 mi warranty with a $100 deductable. If it's a CPS or ECM, doesn't matter, they can only charge you $100 for whatever they do to get it to work.
Take it back and let them sweat on what is wrong. Sure don't want to mess with something that is under warranty and be stranded when your looking to have fun. Ruins a good weekend with the family.
