I was curious about the differnce in a leveling kit verses a lift kit. I have a '01 f250 PSD and wanted it raised a little bit. The leveling kit seems much cheaper and looks like I could install it. Please let me know your opinions.
Thanks
I put a leveling kit on my '99 F-350 and it did exactly what I wanted. On hte 350's, there are 4" blocks on the rear axle compared to 2" blocks on the 250's, but the front is basic sprung the same way. So the leveling kit did a nice job of leveling.... imagine that...
It was cheap and fairly easy to install. I use my truck for towing so I don't want much of a lift so it was perfect.
I have an 01 F350, when I bought it, it had a add-a-leaf in the rear springs and the 4inch blocks it was very high in the rear, I was going to buy a leveling kit but I did not think it would level the truck, so I put a 4inch lift on it, it came with new front springs a add-a-leaf and a 1inch spacer for the rear. It came out dead level. I run 36inch super swampers on it, and i can still pull my gooseneck flat bed tralier... I was scared it would be to high to pull a gooseneck but it wasent.. I did have to adjust tounge on hitch.
I have a late 99 f-250 cc psd with the rancho leveling kit and 35" toyo muds and it rides fantastic although the tires rub just a little if I turn into a driveway or a ravine hard.
