anyone runnin AOD or E4OD behind their FE?

just wondering if anyone has or is running an AOD or E4OD tranny behind their FE? wanting to put a E4OD behind my 390 and have listed this in the tranny forun too but was just taking a poll. thanks!

I can't speak for the AOD, but avoid the E4OD. It is garbage, my '92 has one and it's nothing but trouble. After much research on the net I've found that's the norm for these transmissions and they die young. A lot of folks replaced them with as little as 15k on them, but 115-120k seems to be the average.
Even if they were any good, the wiring for the ECM to run it would be a major project.

gotcha, well anyone know of an AOD i can use?? any info welcome! i also talked to advance adapters and they don't offer any conversion plates for the FE!! and i ain't got no $2500 for gearvendors!

Do you already have an auto behide your 390 if so what is it. i would suggest finding a C6 you'll have less problems with C6.

There was a company called Lentech transmission out of Canada. They specialized in the AOD for the FE engines. It was an expensive proposition, but that was a few years ago. I considered it for my truck, because it's a daily driver. I might should look again with the gas price increases. I searched for a website, but didn't find anything. Let me know what you find, I'm still pondering the idea.
