Was just wondering what you guys think the best floor mats would be? I have had husky mats before, after a snowstorm I have found that the underside of the huskys were always wet. I couldn't find any cracks or holes so maybe they were very porous. Cause I was being cheap, I tried to fit some old dodge husky mats into the new f250 and well I think they interfere with the gas pedal, so that won't work. I am going to have to buy new mats of some sort and cant seem to find what I am after. There is also a t-case shifter on the floor and I was looking for some sort of mat to cover the whole floor in the extended cab area. There are always muddy or snowy boots and tools of some sort in the truck. Any ideas?
What I did, that works REALLY well and is pretty much the most inexpensive way to go. (although I really don't care about the cost, but this really works best for me)
I bought a plain 1-piece floor mat. The kind that goes in a truck. Just the plain black rubber mat (1-piece) 'trim-able' kind.
First I cut down the center (where the red line is)
Then I moved the pieces over to the opposite side. what was the passenger mat is now the drivers mat and vice-versa.
Then with the mats in place I trimmed again(about where the blue lines are) so they'd be exactly where I want them (I wanted them to cover the plastic kick-plate of trim that is on basically under the door when you shut it.
it works REALLY well. They look custom made actually. The rubber flap that use to cover the center console now covers the kick plate and theres obviously no gap between the plastic kick plate and the start of a floor mat that you'd put in. The mat flap goes right up to the edge of the plastic trim and ends where the door makes contact. So in addition to keeping snow/whatever from getting in the gap between where the plastic trim piece (kick plate) ends and the mat begins, it keeps your plastic kick plate from getting all scratched and messed up.
I couldn't find any premade floor mats that had a flap to cover that plastic kick plate. And even though this mat is not 'deep' I don't get any water run-off on the carpet. SUPER easy to clean. Just pull it out and hose it down.
And again, not that I cared what it cost, but the mat was like $13 or something.
I think it looks sharp. I'll take a picture of them in the truck if anyone wants to see.

I had a set of catch all mat in my 97 250 great mats I purchased at set for my 05 super duty and I like them as well the first set that I had. The mats hold dirt and water in salt dirt in the mat. They work nice to take out and wash out with the hose.
For my 2005 Super Duty Crew Cab, I have the Husky Floor liners, not the floor mats, and I have to say they really hold in the water, dirt, snow, etc. My floor liners are the same color as the interior so doesn't even look like i have floor mats! However, these liners are more expensive than an average floor mat. I think about $80 for the front and additional $80 for the rear. I got mine at www.motorhaven.com. I think there is an after Christmas sale going on right now.
Perfect timing for this post... I just bought a new (to me) 2003 F250 Crew Cab and was getting ready to look for new mats. I've had Husky Liners and Catch-all carpeted mats in prior trucks. This time I'm going with the Catch-all extremes. I like the idea of the one piece front mat they are now offering.
I just ordered some from Mats4Less.com... free shipping through 12/31!!
I bought these... they are pricey but I love them. They dump the water on the mat out the door.... Hard to explain... check out the website... There is a superduty on display there.
