EGR unplugged=less boost???

Ok; so I got guages and have been watching my boost. Before I unplugged the EGR I was seeing 28~29#'s in every gear. Unplug the EGR and I only see low 20's in 1st 2nd and in 3rd it makes mid 20's then in 4th when the converter locks it makes about 26~27#. So, I plug the EGR back in and once again make 28~29#'s in every gear.

How does the EGR effect WOT boost?

some say you lose 2-3 psi but mine has stayed the same and the truck runs better IMO with it unplugged.

Hmmmm; I will have to try it again.

Does the truck go into a defueling mode or something when the EGR is unplugged?

Perzactly. Even if it is a little lower boost....Lower boost is better than no boost.
