mileage VS hours

Ok well seeing all the talk about wet stacking, high idle
I tend to let my truck idle alot. Just wondering about were everyone else is at?

My 2005 F350 6.0 current has 25,800 miles and 778 hours

thats a lot of hours. idling is bad for any diesel engine , pure and simple . if you must idle it use the high idle feature which bumps it up to 1200 rpm

51000 miles / 778 hours = 65.55mph over the entire life of the engine on... Boy they drive fast there in CA

Here are my numbers.
Hope others give their info... this will be a good yardstick.

15320 miles / 405 hours = 37.827mph of engine "ON"
Didn't think I did a lot of idling... must just be low speed driving thru all the back country this last summer through AZ, CO, UT, MT, ID, WA, and a bunch of Canada.
