YaY ! I found all the trim I need for my truck today at the junkyard, I told him I would be back for it on saturday, and he said he would give to to me for next to nothing as long as I was pulling it
My question to you guys is this , the top rubber/aluminum trim on the front fender is it attached with a thru bolt on each end like the door trim piece, what about the bedside piece ? I need to know how to get this stuff off without damaging it, Please help !
The truck also had a grille in excelent shape 1978 model, I doubt I'll be getting that but I think I will ****** up the good condition door panels since the ones on ebay on this shape are going for like $100
o.k. here it is. Each piece has two metal fastners on each end that bolt through the body, as well as a series of plastic ones that just pop into the trim. if I rember right the bed ones I had to access from under the truck up behind the quarter, and the front I accessed both by the door hinges and up front from under the hood. I cant rember if the one under the hood was thru an existing hole or if I took the marker light off and got it thru there. After you unfasten the metal ones pull the trim back slightly and you should see some release tabs for the plastic ones up at the top. Push these in with a screwdriver and your good to go. As long as you DONT FORCE ANYTHING youll be ok.
