in 4 months, I have managed to put the following list into my truck, all prices are taken from receipts, except the trade lines, thats were I traded my winter beater Chrysler Concorde to a parts yard for the listed pieces.

I have an old 87/88 6.9 with a 5 speed. It gets 20 mpg city/highway with a 200lb canopy on the 8 ft been.

I also have 96 PSD with the 4 speed auto. It gets between 17 to 19. With a 7500 lb trailer/boat load I got 13.9 mpg.

Some is wrong with you engine if your in the 4 mpg range.
