tps problem?

my 05 ranger 3.0, 5peed manual, has had this annoying driveability problem since i bought it new 7 months ago. the engine doesn't respond immediately when going from no throttle (coasting), to throttle on (acceleration). in lower gears a serious clunk is felt and heard when the engine does, eventually, respond. i've taken it in to my dealer for the problem and they said it was "normal" i don't think so however. there were no codes in the ecu. the idle is fine and there are no other driveability problems. what do you suggest as my next course of action? thanks
Ric
I've had similar Dealer expierences & the logical reasoning thing, didn't work with the selling dealer, so a change of Dealer fixed ALL my problems in a hurry.
Amazing how much they can differ in all respects, it's all about good managment.
So if taking the seling Dealers shop foreman for a ride & letting him "feel & hear" what you are, doesn't do it, or driving another vehicle, equipped the same way, doesn't convince them, search for another Dealer, with a good service department reputation.
What your describing doesn't sound "normal" by any means.
It may be a number of things, from a lazy TPS sensor, or MAF sensor, or a fueling problem of some sort.
You've paid big bucks for the 3/36 bumper to bumper warranty, so don't hesitate to use it.
Don't let them "stonewall" you, be politely insistent & persistent, until you get positive results & if that means going to a different Dealer, do it, I did & it made all the dfference in the world!!!!
Let us know what they find.
