What is this product. There is a Xcalibrator 1 and Xcalibrator 2. I konw that they recalibrate the engine for tires but is that it or is it like the Predator or Hypertech Power Programmer. All info is helpful, thanks.

 

they are the same concept as a predator. The company that makes them are SCT, and they have been at it for a while. The hypertech only works at WOT so you should know that. The predator is loved around here and Edge just released a programmer. They are all similar, just look around.

as for the xcalibrator2, I will let you know what I think because mine should be here in a day or 2. All i have so far is a volant intake and aero-turbine muffler.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to order the xcalibrator2 as well. I've only had the truck a couple of weeks, so I'm still trying to decide.

I was wondering how you liked the Volant intake? Did you get the extra air intake tube as well? I think I want a closed box intake.

I have used volants on several vehicles and like them. I tried that extension once, but think it is mostly hype. That tube that is supposed to "ram" air into the box is real cute, but there are several other holes in the box that let in cold air. I didn't notice any difference with that tube and do not plan on getting one for my truck.

Other than that part, I really like the intake. The sealed box makes sure that not hot air from the engine compartment gets in the intake. On top of that, it is a very quiet intake, even at WOT. I would recommend one of these, but you can save some money by looking at other closed box intakes. I have had very good luck with volant and was willing to pay the extra 50-60 bucks. I also put about 50k a year on a truck, so it was worth it to me.
