stalling when put in park or nutral
My truck is stalling when put in park, but it only happens most of the time..... not all the time. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem? I have a 88 302 aod

most auto parts will do it for free, you can get a code reader for 40 bucks or so, you can even check them with a paper clip, never done that before but it has been outlined in this formn, might want to try a search, I would start with cleaning your throttle body and TPS and the IAC with throttle body cleaner, don't use carb cleaner!! Pull the IAC off the side of the TB and spray it out real good with the TB cleaner, I've had the same problem before and a good cleaning fixed her right up G'luck
