Locking hub conversion vacuum ?

I just put a set of Warn hubs on my X everything seems to work like it should but when I put it in 4WD the light comes on but it doesn't engage. I assume I have to block the vacuum lines off to the front hubs so that there will be more pressure in the system? I can still here the front end click like the hubs are turning when I put it into 4WD. Which line is it on the pump? or should I just cut them down at the wheel and plug them. Thanks

Thumbs up hubs

Yes you need to cap the lines. just trace the line and plug it anywhere and zip tie it out of the way.

not excatly. stupid question here, you did turn the warn hubs to the lock position? the vacuum only controls the auto hubs and your hvac vents.

good point

Yeah you need to manually lock the hub every time; they are not automatic when you turn it to 4WD. hope this answers your questions

Yeah they were locked. I pulled the red vacuum line out of the cannister and plugged it. I saw this info on another post. Now everything works like it should Now if only I could replace that switch with a gear lever to put it into 4WD instead of some stupid switch...ah the good ol days....

when you change out the auto hubs with manual the vacuum has nothing to do with it at all. you can add a lever t-case it costs about 1000$ from ford. they have to change to a manual t-case and change some computer.
