I blew one of my Clarion 6 1/2'' door speakers, its under warranty for a couple more days so I stopped at my stereo shop to get a new set, and figured while I was there I better look at better door speakers since I'm just gonna blow these clarions too and would like better sound anyway, something that can get as loud as the subs without blowing or distorting, So I looked at some JL component sets, sounded great, But then decided on a Diamond Hex Series component set and probably a Memphis 75 x 2 Amp, Grand total $800, Jeez after seeing that figure those cheap clarions sounded darn nice lol, I'm probably gonna buy them but jeez, I might go with a JL 150/2 amp instead of the Memphis since I am very pleased with the JL 500/1 I have
The memphis belle would be the best amp for me 75 x 4 channels Class a/b and 1300 class d watts of pure subwoofer driving power, all in one 6 1/2'' x 2'' x 22 1/2'' package
Alrite!! My Apline 4way amp fit under the back of the drivers seat. Behind that are Stillwater Kickers and 6 1/4" Indinity reference's in the doors. The only things I'd like to add is the Alpine active equalizer but I cannot justify the $500.00 cost. I used under coating inside the door and dynomat on the inside doors faces. It helps the sound and really quites the road noise down.
