Just gotta ask this, Does anyone here like Da Yoopers? I just got reminded of some of that old music last night when the song rusty chevrolet was on the radio.
Da yoopers are the guys that sing the songs like
Second week of deer camp,
Rusty chevrtolet,
twelve days of redneck christmas, and such songs. kinda funny too.
THink we got a couple of their tapes up at our camp north of Marquette. Fondly recall the days of living in Marquette and heading down to Shopko!!
Rusty Chevrolet was always a fav.......
Rust and smoke the heaters broke
the door just blew away
I light a match to see the dash
and then I start to pray
The frame is bent the muffler went
the radio its ok
Ooh what fun it is to drive
this rusty Chevrolet.
Haven't heard any of their songs in years. The "country" station here in Beantown used to play the deer camp songs some years ago - back when they actually played country music.
Have to see if any of their songs are on Rhapsody......
