dash removel ?

dash removel ?
Can someone tell how to remove the plastic dashboard on a 2000 S/D it seems to me It just pops out with a little prying but I can't figure out how to remove the radio 1st ? any help would be great

When I removed my dash, I removed the radio with it. It just pulls right out with the dash. You just have to unplug it along with a few other things. Yes, it does just "snap" off but you have to be careful doing it.

Go to the parts house or car audio place and buy a Ford Radio Removal tool. It's a set of two horseshoe-shaped wires that plug into those little holes in the front of the radio and release a couple of little retaining clips.
You CAN make some out of welding rod or thick coathanger, but the right tool is like $5, so why improvise?
