Back-up switch

I have a F-250 4x4 1974 with a c-6 where is the back up switch?

G'day Guys
Same question differen't vehical
I have an Aussie F100 '79 with a C6 auto.
I know we have a differen't steering column over here and our model changes were later too.
Any ideas on the switch location?

It's mentioned on the other thread

In 78 they moved the NSS switch to the side of the transmission.

I must be slow, but this "other thread" doesn't help me any. I have a 74 f250 4x4 with a c-6. I understand a " nss "to be a nuetral start switch. Is the NSS also the back up switch. By "back up" I mean to turn on my back up lights,I thought the NSS just kept it from starting in the drive position.

Reverse lights. When I put the transmission in reverse I want my white reverse lights to come on.

not positive about '74, but the nss should be in the column, so what ever wires going to the side of the tranny should be for your reverse lights. should be a black with red stripe wire. is it possible you have a 15A fuse for the reverse lights?

The NSS switches both circuits.

Pardon me for not being specific enough.

On a 74 ,The combination NSS-B/U light switch for auto trans is located on the column as per the illustration on the other thread
