reverse light switch

I just got my bed back on my truck after redoing the rear suspension and replacing the floor of my bed. When I went to wire the lights up again though my reverse is not working. I tested the actual lights and they work but the reverse wire is not getting any juice when in reverse. I tested the fuses in the fuse box and all were okay. could there be another fuse somewhere or what else could have happened. It could have shorted out when I was driving without the bed wired because I just cut the wires and left them. They weren't stripped though.

the wiring might have gotten pinched when you put the bed back on... verfy your backup switch is good.
Is your truck and automatic? what year? knowing this, someone can tell ya where to look for your backup switch.

It is a 76 highboy 4speed. I will try and look on top of the tranny.

How do I replace the switch? I think I fried it.

Please Note:

The NSS was NOT mounted on the side of an C6 transmission until 1978.
On an auto trans before 78 the NSS was mounted on the steering column.
