I know the legalities and blah blah blah ... aside from this, does anyone on here run a straight piped truck from the t-back? I put a 4" on a few months ago and had issues with the guy who bent the pipe (Jardine Muffler). I am considering striping off the exhaust that is tack welded and flex piped and putting on a 4" dual straight pipe exhaust. Any words of wisdom ... good or bad (I have broad shoulders) Thanks guys!
6.0FX4350,
I had mine straight piped it was not that much louder I put a HOG exhaust on it removed the cat and I love it not to loud and has a real nice rumble to it
I have and it wasn't much louder than with a muffler except when you wailed on it. Currently I have the dual MBRP system on and it has a muffler but still sounds great. Duals aren't any louder than singles except you have a drivers side tail pipe which makes it easier for the driver to hear. Give us a call if you have any questions we have all the MBRP systems in staock and have been selling them since day one on the 6.0. In fact the original 6.0 system was built on my truck at MBRP.
i took the cat off for a few days and left the cat off so my exhaust ended off the downpipe..it was loud at low rpms becaz all u heard was the turbo whistling but when u got on it good it got the meaniest rumble ever. all the dodge people with thier hemis were like WHAT THE **** U PACKIN
04Muscle .. thats great! ... actually had a similar adventure but it was because the only piece of my off brand exhaust that fit was the down pipe ... could only take 24 hrs of it though!
Mark ... I wish i new of your site last night because I just ordered the MBRP single out last night. Thanks ... I will keep you in mind on my future adventures!
I have 4" all mandrel bent pipe off the turbo, no cat, no muffler. It splits to 4" duals behind the transfer case, then turns 90 degrees up through the bed and into 5"x48" tall bullhorn style chrome stacks angeled outwards at 45 degrees. Sounds nice with the stock tune, but sounds AWESOME with the SCMT HP tune.
You want screaming loud turbo whistle? This is the way to do it!
