So while you're standing there trying to figure out how to get within arm's reach, and make me stand still so you can shock me, I think I'll just go ahead and shoot you......
LOL ! good one !!
Or what if the full charge doesnt hit the guy ?? Then you have a seriously po'd person on the end of a string going to get the guy holding the reel !
"Pepper spray seems to get the owners more than anyone else..."
z...just make sure you purchase a QUALITY type of pepper spray. There is the "fog" type and the "stream" type. The "stream" type will shoot a liquid stream of material about 6 - 10 feet effectively. As YOU should try not be within 10 ft of the offening person the liquid usually won't "blowback" to you (unless you make the mistake of standing down wind of the target). I've given standing directions to my daughter and neice on the spray's use that goes like this: spray 'em in the face for two FULL seconds then administer one "hearty" kick to the groin . THEN RUN LIKE HELL!!!! The best thing about the spray is just about every state considers it "non-leathal" and the odds of someone dieing from a stun gun or taser are considerably higher. IMHO
Oh, I have a gun but you have to live with killing someone. Actually, I remember the "cow prods" years ago, a good one will make a bull kick like hell and I remember it as being a couple of feet long.
I know if I ever did have to pull a gun I would shoot to stop which would mean a center shot.
Taser.....we'll see
matts got it right, get a REALLY BIG GUN such as a desert eagle .50 AE or a big ol 44 mag, chrome desert eagle is what i have, and i know damn well if someone was starting something with me all id need to do is letem see 8 lbs of shiney chrome wavin at em and theyll be runin, desert eagles heavy so its hard to conceal, but id suggest a 45 as a carry weapon, has more knockin power than a 9 does. ohh and your avg thug has a nine, not anything ealse so in the power battle youd have em beat, all i suggest is LEARN TO SHOOT and SHOOT WELL. Ive been shooting my whole life, and can hit just about nething, but some couldnt hit the broad side of a green barn point blank. But deadly force is always the last resort, my first would be to run!!!
You don't have to pull the trigger to make a pistol work in a confrontation.
I truly know what you are saying here Matt.
But, here in my neck of the woods, if you pull out a big gun on someone and do not pull the trigger, a person would do well to put some KY jelly on the barrel first.

I think if someone wants to do me harm,I'd rather have a gun.But I'm one of those people that couldn't hit the broad side of a green barn.I have a 500k panther stun gun.It was around $50.Never used it.You would probably have the same consequenses using a stun gun as a real gun.If excessive force comes into play from the getgo, you have the right to shoot to kill.
No, remind yourself that when the gun comes out, the holder of the gun just made a move that elevates the situation from one of a as@ kickin' to one that kills. ...
That move on the part of the person holding the gun, motivates the person looking at the bore of it, to either back down and submit , or give out a fight for their life. cheers
I was taught that if you ever pull a gun on someone, you had better be prepared to use it, never pull your gun to scare someone. I would never pull my gun on someone unless I felt my life was in danger, if the situation ever occured I would pull and shoot, don't give the other person time to react, because that could cost you your life. But the gun should be your last resort.
Policeman asking man standing with smoking pistol, "What happened?" "Crackhead brought a stunner to a gun fight!" Simple as that, plus no argument from anyone else!
I always thought stunguns were for foreplay!
Just kidding on all the above! Well, sorta, if she brings up ,,,,ah,never mind
