4x4 conversion
Id it possible to convert an 83 f 250 to 4x4??? couldnt be too hard if using parts from an original 4x4 truck right....all im worried bout is tranny and transfer case positions, if anyone has done this or is lookin to, please lemme know.

well i converted a 73 2 wheel drive to a 4x4 drive took about 3 days total, all i done was toook the front clip bed and cab off the 2 wd frame had a 4x4 frame replace the lines painted it etc, set my motor in the frame with a tranny and t case i bought frome a junk yard out of a 75 frame and then sit every thing over i had to change the steering column shaft, and modified the inner fender to clear the steering, and i also got the drive shafts from the same truck in the junk yard, then a year later i installed a 6" super lift, it is not that bad if you have a good place to work and have a few hands to help you with the body if you dont have acess to a lift or a strong tree with a come along or a old style engine hoist,
